I’m someone that holds on to a pair of boots for what seems like a lifetime, but in the same breath, I’m very hard on my shoes. Investing in the right pair of boots is very important. When buying a pair, always consider the following three points: comfort, quality and time. 

Comfort

Having painful feet is not for the faint-hearted. Its debilitating and the continuous wearing of ill-fitting shoes can cause permanent damage. Make sure you try on both shoes when fitting on your boots and try taking along your own socks. 

Quality

Good quality often makes for good comfort and a great investment. Leather and rubber are most often the best choice when it comes to durability.

Time

Our feet expand and swell throughout the day, so its best to shop for shoes in the afternoon.
